Every day Docker is becoming a more and more significant tool in the hands of DevOps oriented organizations around the world.

We’ll cover why we want to do DevOps in the first place, what DevOps means, how the DevOps philosophy informs strategy and techniques,who should be using it and how Docker fits into the DevOps toolbelt.That includes a deep dive into Docker technologies and what they can do ina CI/CD chain and in the data center. 

John DuBois is a software developer and consultant specializing in open sourcetechnologies and DevOps.  He was the CTO of CoPortal.com during the dot com boomand co-founder of three other start-ups.  He has written almost two million lines of code in a variety of languages.  His scholarly works have appeared in IEEE Software and Lecture Note in Computer Science.  He is also the guitarist andsongwriter for Tony and the Earaches who will be available for parties as soon asthey can find Tony.

He worked in several fields including application architecture and design. Besides that, he is a member of Apache DeltaSpike PMC – a Duke’s Choice Award winner project. And a speaker in conferences like JUDCon, TDC, JavaOne and Devoxx.
